The Accord Trio was written as part of a collaboration between Junior Chamber Music and the Herb Alpert School of Music, UCLA. The melodies in this piece flow in and out of alignment with both the underlying sixteenth-note pulse, and also with itself and other melodies, embodying a story of accord and discord.
